We had loads of fun! – as every year at the GATC Christmas party in Constance!

Our sales representatives came from all parts of Europe to GATC Biotech’s headquarters in Constance. Together with all GATC employees, their partners and children, we celebrated our yearly Christmas party.

Peter Pohl, CEO of GATC Biotech, used the opportunity to thank all longtime employees and honored two 10th and one 20th anniversary.

Having a savory roast, various salads and desserts, great vine – and not to forget our traditional Caipirinha – we all enjoyed the cheerful atmosphere and looked back at a successful year.

Also Santa Claus and Knecht Ruprecht (the German Santa’s helping hand) came for a short visit. In change to a poem or Christmas song he had a little present for each child. The tension for the adults rose when heaving the yearly secret Santa and tombola.

We thank all our employees for this successful, cheerful and yummy party and wish all of you a wonderful Christmas time!

It enjoyed extreme-hiking on Kilimandscharo, a wonderful safari in the Serengeti, relaxing on the Great Wall of China, cooling down at the arctic Circle, hugging a cute monkey, swimming with well-known nemo fish, and a lot more…  - The Böxle had an exciting time in Australia, Africa, Asia, America, and Europe, … (Check more out photos here:  http://on.fb.me/r1MDmF)

This year’s böxle on holidays competition was also extraordinary. The race was dramatic at the end,  when four photos duked it out for the iPods. Then, one week after the competition was already closed, we had to disqualify two photo due to age restriction. The participant was under 18 years old. This was a hard decision even for us, as the participant who enteren them actually had a great race and would have won two iPods… But fair is fair, we have to apply the same rule to everyone. We got a lot of feedback regarding the conditions of entry and we will take it all into account for the next competition.

We want to thank everyone for contributing so many beautiful Böxle photos! We are really impressed by the number and the quality of the photos you uploaded. And we want to thank everyone for taking party in the voting. We wish you all the best!

PS: At the moment we are preparing another exciting competition. So ”stay tuned” on www.facebook.com/gatcbiotech

Thank you, dear Böxle photographers!

All good things in life begin with a fruitful and inspiring partnership. The Böxle Calender 2011 is no exception, and constitutes the Böxle's emotional peak since it’s birth in 1999.

It was a daunting task to select and justify 49 shots from the many Böxle pictures submitted during our summer campaign „Böxle on holidays 2010“. Christian, who had the original idea for both the summer project and the calender and who was, consequentially, assigned project manager, pursued the objective - in close cooperation with the marketing team - to create a Böxle Calender that reflects the vast diversity of the photographs as comprehensively as possible. In order to include as many photos as possible, we decided to give each month two single pages. All of this happened, naturally, after having received the official permission from the photographers to use their unique Böxle art for that purpose.

The Böxle Calendar 2011 is now in press. We expect delivery of our "limited edition" on December 16th. Although not even available yet, the Böxle Calendar has already become very popular. The current order list is quite impressive and we will do our utmost to work through it until Christmas.

However, no matter how long this list may be, one thing is absolutely clear. First, our Böxle photographers - many enthusiastic customers and GATC staff – will hold a calendar in their hands, because all the credit is due to them. Without their ideas, inspiration and emotional bond to the Böxle we would not have been able to realize this project at all.

In this sense, with all my heart: THANK YOU, dear Böxle photographers!

At the moment the Marketing Department is preparing a Böxle Calendar for 2011. The pictures from this calendar are taken from our summer photo competion "Böxle on holidays" on facebook.

During our photo competition our fans uploaded more than 80 pictures onto our facebook fanpage. We did not expect such amazing results! So we want to say "Thank you" to everyone for contributing many great Böxle photos! Seeing these beautiful pictures we got the idea of the "Böxle Calendar 2011". So we started asking our fans, if we could use their pictures for the calendar. As reply we got very encouraging emails like "It would be an honour for my pictures to be in GATC calender, you can use them. Thank you! "or "Being such an important service to us, I have to say that all the people in the lab were really delighted with the idea of “Böxle on holidays".

So here is the first idea for the calendar...

PS: The Böxle Calendar will be available on our fanpage soon... :-)
